Every copy of the Shell Control Pack VCL 2 includes one year of Upgrade Protection. This entitles you to access all updates and upgrades for the product during this period.
Other products do not as yet participate in the Upgrade Protection program. Customers can download updates for these programs from the Customers Only website.

How do I determine if I have active Upgrade Protection? |

There are a number of ways in which this can be determined:-
- When you purchase Upgrade Protection you will receive an email confirming your order.
- If your Upgrade Protection period had previously expired then the most obvious effect of purchasing Upgrade Protection is that you can immediately download the latest versions from our Customers Only website.
- From the Customers Only website, you will see a message that your Upgrade Protection is in effect, when it will expire, and links to download the latest updates.

You can renew your Upgrade Protection after it has expired for 50% of the regular license cost.

If you purchase additional Upgrade Protection before your current contract expires, you only pay 25% of the regular product license cost.

How often do you issue updates? |

While difficult to forecast exactly, we have new features constantly under development. The new Upgrade Protection plan allows us to ship new features sooner, without having to "batch up" many compelling features for a major product release. We can release these new features individually as soon as they are ready.
For reference, the Shell Control Pack VCL version 1 had 29 updates from 1997 to 2006.
